Welcome
You will be able to
- Say what Nexus is in one sentence
- Find the four areas of the workspace
- Know what this course asks of you and what you get for it
Nexus is where your team builds, deploys and supervises AI agents. An agent is a colleague who never sleeps: it answers questions in your customers' words, looks things up in the documents you give it, and hands over to a person when it should. This course takes you from an empty workspace to an agent your colleagues, and then your customers, can talk to.
What you will build
By the end of module 2 you will have a Sales assistant: an agent that answers questions about your refund policy from the actual policy document, opens every conversation with a greeting, and knows when to hand off to you. Module 3 makes sure its answers stay on the record, with a citation to the passage they came from.
The four areas
Everything in Nexus lives in one of four areas. The next lesson walks through each one; here they are in a line each, so the names are familiar when you see them.
| Area | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Agents | The assistants you build: their instructions, tools and knowledge |
| Workflows | Sequences of steps that run on their own when a trigger fires |
| Knowledge | Collections of documents an agent can cite |
| Deployments | The channels an agent is reachable on: web widget, Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, email |
How this course works
- Every lesson starts with what you will be able to do at the end. Readings complete when you reach the end, videos at 90% watched, quizzes when you pass at 70%, the checklist when every item is ticked.
- You earn XP the first time you complete a lesson, 400 XP across twelve lessons. Each module ends with a badge on your profile: Nexus Explorer, Agent Builder and Grounded.
- Three lessons ask you to hand something in, and you can read the rubric before you start any of them. Module 2's assignment is reviewed by your manager — give yourself thirty minutes and a real policy document. The self-check that closes the same module has no reviewer: you compare your answer with ours and confirm it yourself. The last lesson of module 3 asks for a short screen recording of your agent working, which your manager watches.
- Office hours are a live session for cohorts. If you are learning on your own, the recording counts.
